What is Oxytoshi?

Oxytoshi is a location-based Bitcoin tipping app. See nearby people on a live map and send instant Lightning tips to show gratitude.

Do I need a Bitcoin wallet?

Yes. Oxytoshi connects to your own Lightning wallet via Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC). Compatible wallets include Alby, Mutiny, Zeus, Minibits, and BlueWallet. We never hold or have access to your funds.

How do I connect my wallet?

Go to the Me tab, tap “Connect Wallet,” and scan the NWC QR code from your Lightning wallet app. The connection is stored securely on your device.

Is my location shared?

Only when you choose. Discoverability is off by default. You can toggle it from the People screen at any time. When hidden, no one can see you on the map.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. After confirming, your account, profile, payment history, and all associated data are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

What are Aura, Halo, and OXY scores?

These are reputation scores built from your tipping activity. Aura measures your signal quality, Halo reflects your impact on others, and OXY is your overall lifetime score. Scores are transparent and cannot be gamed.
